Tidal Bridge

A black-and-white graphic illustration shows a man kneeling at the edge of swirling water, pouring sand from a broken hourglass into a funnel while a woman below him is being pulled into a whirlpool, reaching up desperately toward him; in the background another exhausted man kneels on the shore beside an arched bridge made of gears and clock faces that spans the water under heavy, dramatic storm clouds.

In shadows two souls move in quiet conflict,
a man with an hourglass, cracked by duty and drift.
A woman calls softly through the circling night:
“See me, reach for me, step into the light.”

Messages circle like birds in a storm,
missed little moments dissolve in routine’s norm.
So close to the bridge, yet their feet feel like stone,
pain holds them fast where they stand all alone.

A timer ticks on as their hands search the air,
one breath, one heartbeat, a hesitant care.
From whirlpools to path, when silence gives way,
love slowly grows where they choose to stay.

And when the bridge fell silent and hope lost its breath,
something in us withered, a small and quiet death.
Where once a hand reached out through rising tide,
only an echo stayed – the part of me that died.

starb etwas in uns – leise, ohne Krach.
